Top Pickleball Courts in Dallas: Where to Play in 2026

Dallas does not do anything halfway, and pickleball is no exception. In a few short years the city went from a handful of taped lines on old tennis courts to full pickleball clubs with restaurants, bars and cold plunges. If you have ever circled a parking lot at 7 AM looking for an open court, you already know: Dallas loves this game.

Whether you just picked up your first paddle or you are hunting for a new home court, here are the best pickleball courts in Dallas, sorted by the kind of day you want to have.

Free Public Courts: Where the Regulars Play

Dallas Park and Recreation runs free outdoor courts across the city. They work on a first come, first served basis, and if people are waiting, the house rule is simple: play one game, then rotate off. That rotation is half the fun. It is how strangers become your Saturday crew.

  • Cole Park (Uptown): six dedicated pickleball courts with lights, right off Cole Avenue. It is busy, social and the closest thing Dallas has to a pickleball town square.
  • Churchill Park (North Dallas): four dedicated courts with permanent nets on a quiet, leafy 17 acre park. A great pick when Cole Park feels like rush hour.
  • Kiest Park (Oak Cliff): four dedicated courts in one of the city's best loved parks.
  • Lake Highlands North Park: four dedicated courts and a strong neighborhood following.
  • Campbell Green Park (Far North Dallas): four dedicated courts, popular with early morning groups.

Bring your own net? No need at these spots. Bring your own water? Always.

Tennis Centers: Reserve a Court for a Small Fee

Want a guaranteed court without the wait? The city's tennis centers offer dedicated pickleball courts you can book for a small fee.

  • Samuell Grand Tennis Center (East Dallas): a Dallas favorite for decades, with pickleball courts you can reserve.
  • Fretz Tennis and Pickleball Center (North Dallas): dedicated pickleball courts on Belt Line Road, bookable online.

Check each center's website for current prices and hours before you go.

Indoor Courts: For August and Rainy Days

Dallas summers are no joke. When it is 104 degrees at noon, these indoor spots keep the game going.

  • Serve and Sip (North Central Expressway): six climate controlled indoor courts, plus a full restaurant for after the match.
  • The Grove (Design District): an indoor club with open play, leagues, lessons and tournaments.
  • Westside Pickleball Club (near Love Field): six indoor courts, open play, plus a sauna and cold plunge for the recovery crowd.
  • At Fault (Farmers Branch): five indoor and four outdoor courts, digital scoreboards and instant replay, so you can finally prove that ball was in.

Social Spots: Pickleball Plus a Plan for After

Some days the game is the main event. Other days it is the excuse to hang out. These places are built for both.

  • The Sandy Pickle (The Village): six pickleball courts next to sand volleyball, with a bar and food truck. Named Best Place to Play Pickleball by the Dallas Observer in 2024.
  • Chicken N Pickle (Grand Prairie): indoor and outdoor courts, a full restaurant and yard games for the friends who came to watch.

A Few Tips Before You Go

  • Go early or go late: sunrise and evening sessions are cooler and usually more social
  • Learn the paddle rack: at busy parks, players line up their paddles to claim the next game. Add yours and wait your turn
  • Say yes to open play: mixing in with new players is the fastest way to improve and the easiest way to find your people
  • Pack a second shirt: because the group always ends up at tacos afterward
